Telephone Systems

Buying a telephone system may be an overwhelming experience for any business owner. Today we have a lot of options providing people an array of choices.

The first step is to decide on a budget. How much are you willing to spend? Make a list of must haves, such as; caller Id, branch offices connected, voice mail, remote functions etc.. These will be the determining factors to establish if you will need to go up in price range or eliminate a function to stay with-in budget.

Once you have established how you would like this system to perform for your specific business requirements, it is now time to speak with a professional. It is very important to feel comfortable with the vendor of choice, make sure they answer your questions and provide you with valuable service. This relationship should turn into a long term effort as you can expect to have changes as your business grows and you will require changes to your telephone system.

Become weary of discounted equipment on-line, as a vendor in this business for the past 15 + years we have found a great deal of business owners in distress. While you might get lucky, the odds of buying old used equipment sold to you as new, is high. Equipment advertised with warranties break down and redeeming these warranties become nearly impossible. Make sure you have a reliable source should you choose to take the chance. Truly it is best to buy through a local company who will assume responsibility and establish a business relationship.

Free iPod Touch Movie and Music Downloads

The iPod touch is so good, mainly because everything revolves around a touch screen. Meaning you will not be delayed when you search for a letter anymore or try to get your finger to fit in between two small buttons. To me I like the ipod touch because I can do everything quick and its fancy and looks good around others when you can simply touch something on the screen with your finger or screen pen and then it comes up straight away.

The picture quality is as good as all the other products from apple. The same goes for the audio quality. I found the IPOD touch a little bit more expensive than the other products from apple because it was. Also the price of the product did not go down as much as the other products when it began to age. I expect it would take a lot, cost a lot to create such a product that relies on touching the screen so i can understand why apple charge a lot for such a product.

The IPOD touch is not that strong though. It would not be wise to take it with you when you go for a run or play sport. Its a lot less durable then the shuffle but the other benefits far outweigh the negatives. I am really looking forward to a new version of the IPOD touch coming out i think it will be even more fantastic than the current version, if that is even possible.

Visit Free IPOD and IPOD touch movie and music downloads! Free IPOD and IPOD touch movie and music downloads is a must see for all fans and people who have Ipod's.

Wholesale Video Games Distributor - Warning

You need to be prepared for the saturation of wholesale video games distributor phenomena that is going to take place and start appearing on the Internet in the following weeks when the Playstation 3 hits the stores in the first weeks of November of this year. Right now there are many buyers taking advantage of the eBay craze of selling Playstation 3 consoles at almost three times the current retail price that is due in launch day. The price of the Playstation 3 will be $600 for the premium package- can you believe what will happen when those PS3 consoles hit the market the hungriness that it will leave for many small based business online?

What I am trying to warn you about is that there will be hundreds if not thousands possible fake wholesale video games distributors that will try to start selling PS3 on the Internet at supposed wholesale prices and even below wholesale prices for such new consoles. While their will be many wholesale games distributors for the purchase of video games and even PS3 related material, as a power seller myself- I will not recommend touching sites that say that you can get Playstation 3 consoles and games at 50-80% in wholesale prices for numerous reasons.

While you can certainly buy wholesale games at 40-95% below the market retail value- you should not be able to purchase legit wholesale PS3 items below wholesale for at least the first 2 years. If you have study this wholesale market the way I have done so- you can compare what happened with PS3 biggest competitor. If you understand what happened here you should know that such giant corporations are not launching a huge stock of consoles in launching dates for numerous marketing reasons that I cannot discuss right now as a fact for multiple reasons. If remembering what happened a year ago with such PS2 and now PS3 competitor, you will know what I am talking about.

You will certainly know that you cannot buy at 50-95% Playstation 3 in any way with direct online distributors or offline distributors or wholesalers. Why? Ask yourself why a company like Sony will allow the sell of wholesale items on their upcoming best-seller at wholesale prices? It is virtually unreasonable to give a seller permit to distribute and sell PS3 at way below retail prices. How do you think that the fortune 500 retail companies will profit from this boom? How do you think that all the companies and CEO owners that hold major stocks at their distribution line will feel if they do not receive a clear cut commission out of the sell of in-demand new market consoles if their were wholesale video games distributors selling below retail prices?

Again, in more than 5 years of being a veteran in the sell of wholesale items both online and offline I can honestly say to you not to look for this for at least the next 2 years. I tell you because, I love buying from wholesale distributors and re-selling merchandises at two and three times the profits. It is of my sole experience and in my opinion to give you- the no, no when it comes to buying PS3 at real wholesale prices for at least the first year. This is a power seller who earns thousands selling wholesale in combined business on the Internet and offline. Use this article as reference and never as wholesale video games distributor legal advice or as a buying guide for online or offline business.

A Wholesale Video Games Distributor is one of the business components Joaquin offers in his best selling book. His focus today is on assisting people create wealth through the Wholesale Games Business

Broadband - Into the VoIP

VoIP, or Voice over Internet Protocol, is a complicated term for the fairly simple process of using your internet PC to make phone calls. VoIP has expanded in popularity recently and is now seen as a viable alternative to the humble telephone call.

VoIP uses packet switching as opposed to the more traditional circuit switching used by landlines, and can give the same quality of a call as a landline phone. It's also much cheaper, and relatively easy to set up.

There are 4 different VoIP types; PC to PC - Skype is an example of this; PC to telephone - Callserve uses this method; Telephone to Telephone - BT Broadband Voice is a form of this, and IP Phone to Telephone - Vonage is a common example.

Skype uses an instant messenger service, and both parties use a headset plugged into their PC to make and receive calls. Callserve is similar, but only the caller uses the headset, communicating with the PC at the other end. Broadband Voice use adapters which mean your phone runs through your broadband connection instead of your landline, and Vonage use phones which are, in themselves, small PC's with their own IP address.

Calling another person with VoIP is free, and therefore it is seen as a great money-saving way to communicate with family and friends all over the world. Using VoIP to call someone who doesn't have it incurs a charge, but this is usually less than you'd pay for standard calls, and is the same no matter where you call. So, you could call your friend in America for the same price as calling your aunt in Devon. VoIP is also beneficial to businesses, especially where the business is located over several sites. Internal calls can be free if the whole company is wired to VoIP.

The major concern when VoIP first began to rise in popularity was the quality of the calls; however now technology has improved to the point that it's hard to tell the difference between a landline and VoIP call. Perhaps the only drawback now is that not enough is known about it.

To start using VoIP is simple. For the basic package all you need is a broadband connection on your PC, a headset or microphone and speakers/headphones, and the use of an instant messaging service such as Skype, MSN or ICQ, which are all free to use. You can have all the features normally associated with phones; caller ID, ring back and voicemail, plus you can set up three-way calling and choose to block certain numbers from calling you.

But VoIP isn't for everyone. If you have a power failure or loss of connection, you would be without a phone altogether, so consider how you would manage in that case; perhaps a mobile phone? You may not get all the features mentioned above, or others you'd like, as different providers offer different packages. You may also have to pay line rental, and because of this many people prefer to use VoIP to compliment their landline rather than replace it. There's no doubt that the technology is useful, especially for long-distance calls, but don't throw out your landline phone just yet.

Broadband - Going Underground

Experts have warned that the speed of Britain's broadband is falling way behind that of our European neighbours.

With high-speed internet access becoming more and more of a necessity, we are running the risk of future internet developments accelerating away from what our aging UK networks can cope with.

Britain's broadband is delivered to the majority of users via twisted-pair telephone lines. This broadband technology depends upon advanced digital signal processing and creative algorithms to compress data. This new technology is relying on the old technology of the UK's aging phone networks to deliver the service and cracks are now beginning to show.

Broadband customers are increasingly becoming dissatisfied with the speeds they are receiving; this has not been helped by ISP's luring customers in with promises of cheap broadband with speeds of "up to" 8Mbps. The reality is that few will be able to achieve even half this speed.

There are too many factors that can affect the quality of broadband speeds via the telephone line to ever make it a reliable service. These include:

?How close you are to the exchange (the closer you are then the faster your connection)

?The amount of people being served by your local exchange

?The length and gauge of the line from the exchange

?Electromagnetic noise from other lines. So basically, this can mean the quality of the wiring within your own house.

?The quality of the modem you use

It's obvious that we need a new way of delivering broadband to the users if we are ever going to keep up with the rest of the world.

Fibre optics is the way forward, but laying fibre cables to every house in the UK is impractical and expensive.

A solution to the problem could lie in using 360,000 miles of pipelines that are already under our feet. The sewage systems!

A company called H20 Networks has already provided super fast broadband to Universities in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Bournemouth via their sewage systems. They are enjoying high-speed fibre connections that provide speeds of up to 20Gbps!

It's a cost effective and quick solution to what would be an expensive and time consuming problem. With Japan and Paris already using sewer-based fibre networks, it looks likely that Britain will be forced to follow suit. For the millions of internet users who are already beginning to get impatient with their service providers false promises, this can't come soon enough.

One search to compare UK broadband internet providers.

A Virtual World

Introduction: Over the last few years we have seen internet technology improving at a dramatic pace, from the introduction of broadband to the success of wireless connections. People now have the ability to discover new worlds from the comfort of their own living room. As broadband speeds have got faster, we have seen the introduction of 3D virtual worlds. All that is needed is; a computer, broadband and your imagination will take care of the rest.

Virtual Reality: Virtual worlds allow the broadband user to recreate a virtual replica of them. Once created, the user can go out for a stroll, spend their virtual money on items like clothing and meet new people; some virtual worlds even allow the ability to fly, making a visit to a new country as easy as a stroll in the park.

Virtual Marketing: The growth in popularity has risen at such a level that virtual marketing has been formed. Last year (2006), a company called Millions of Us was founded, this is an agency specialising in virtual world marketing and communication campaigns. The agencies clients include the likes of Warner Bros, Intel, and Microsoft.

Online Gaming: Broadband speeds have risen to a level where not only have you got online socialising communities but also intense online gaming. MMOG (Massively Multiplayer Online Gaming) is a computer game which is capable of supporting hundreds or thousands of players simultaneously. MMOGs can enable players to cooperate and compete with each other on a grand scale, and sometimes to interact meaningfully with people around the world.

Good or Bad? Even though the ability is there to socialise in the virtual world, this may cause concern to parents. Countries like South and North Korea have had broadband for almost 15 years; therefore broadband speeds are of greater quality than the UK. This may sound great, but this has opened the opportunity of online gaming become so popular that it is looked at as a profession. Top gamers may spend up to 15 hours a day in their room practicing for their next tournament. These gamers may get paid hundreds of thousands a year and wear sponsored clothes that you may find on a formula one driver.

Improvements in broadband technology will not only allow the user a better online experience, but will also give broadband providers the ability to offer cheaper broadband rates.

Kuala Lumpur ?10 Things You Must See

Kuala Lumpur is a wonderful city with much to see and do. If you are not a native of Kuala Lumpur, it can be hard to decide what to see and do. This is a short synopsis of the 10 things I think you must see in Kuala Lumpur. This is meant as a guide to those of us who are not familiar with this great city.

1. Petronas Twin Towers

The Petronas Twin Towers dominate the sky scape in Kuala Lumpur. They are magnificent pieces of architecture which tower over the rest of Kuala Lumpur and are currently the second tallest buildings in the world, and the tallest twin towers in the world. They were built in 1998 and have 88 floors and reach 452 meters into the sky. The towers were planned in the form of an 8 sided star which in Islam symbolises fullness and regeneration.

There is a viewing deck on the twin towers, the sky bridge which joins the 21st floors of both towers, 150 meters above ground. If you are planning to do this, be sure to get your tickets early to avoid long waits of disappointment.

2. China Town

China Town in Kuala Lumpur is a special place with a fantastic atmosphere and market. The market is held on a street, but is now cleverly covered to prevent rain from disturbing the market.

In China Town you can get everything from quality hand crafted produce to fake clothes. Every major fashion house is represented in China Town by fake produce. If you are planning to buy something here on your visit, and you will, be prepared to haggle if your life depended on it. The people here are good natured, but they will try to sell you anything they can as if their life depended on it.

3. Suria Shopping Center

The Suria Shopping Center at the foot of the Petronas twin towers is a shopping center aimed at the more affluent among us. Here you can buy designer fashion goods from all of the top designers. The Suria Shopping Center is not cheap and is mainly aimed at Arabs who visit Kuala Lumpur during August to escape the heat of their own countries.

The Shopping Center is linked by the LRT (Light Rail Transport) which can take you directly to Sentral Station. Even if you dont plan on buying anything here, dont miss this spectacle.

4. Merdeka Square

Merdeka Square, known as Independence Square was formerly the Selangor Club field on which cricket was played by expatriates, usually from Britain. The Club is now open to anybody who can afford membership. The square is called Independence Square because on 31 August 1957 the Malaysian flag was raised here for the first time. Today, the Malaysian flag flies from the tallest flag pole in the world, 100 meters.

Merdeka Square is a place of beauty, with the immaculately kept Square alongside the Selangor Club which is built in true British Tudor style and the beautiful Abdul Samad Building which dates to 1897 and now serves as a Government Building

5. Bukit Bintang

Bukit Bintang is the main street of Kuala Lumpur. This is a street that never sleeps and always enjoys a fast pace of life. This is a great place to find a caf to relax your shopping weary body, before you head back in for more shopping.

Bukit Bintang is home to many shopping centers, hotels and restaurants. Amzingly Bukit Bintang is home to 30,000 shops, many of which are in the shopping centers that have entrances from the Bukit Bintang.

6. Lake Gardens (Taman Tasik Perdana)

The Lake Gardens in Kuala Lumpur is a green belt that covers over 90 hectares of land. Originally built around an artificial lake, the gardens are now a major center piece in Kuala Lumpur and offer many types of gardens including an Orchid Garden, a Hibiscus Garden, The Butterfly Park, a Bird Park and much more.

7. Batu Caves

The Batu Caves are located on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur as you head east towards Kuantan or the Genting Highlands. You can see the entrance to the caves from the road which is in the form of an impressive set of steps leading upwards to the mouth of the cave.

The caves are a sacred place for the Hindu population in Malaysia and consist of three main caves and a number of smaller caves. The caves are an impressive sight at 400 meters long and 100 meters high. Be prepared to meet plenty of monkeys here as they vie for your attention in the hope of getting some nuts.

8. Telecommunications Tower

The Telecommunications Tower in Kuala Lumpur is very reminiscent of the famous Toronto and Seattle radio towers. The tower is the 4th tallest radio tower in the world after the CN Tower (Toronto), Ostankino Tower (Moscow) and Oriental Pearl Tower (Shanghai).

Standing 421 meters high and if you are in good physical condition over 2,000 steps await. For the rest of us there is always the lift. There is an observation platform at the top of the tower which many say is better than that on the Twin Towers for a number of reasons, you can see the Twin Towers in your view and you get panoramic views over the city. There is also a revolving restaurant here.

9. Central Market

Central Market in Kuala Lumpur, built in 1928, is set in a stunning building. The market is easily accessed by public transport. Here you will find all sorts of arts and crafts alongside souvenir shops selling models of the Twin Towers and Kuala Lumpur T-shirts.

Central Market is not just about arts and crafts, but more about a central location for a wider cultural offering. Here you can see cultural performances and sample some of the fantastic cuisine.

10. Mega mall

The Mega Mall is a massive shopping complex and if you are looking for a reasonable place to shop in comfort, this is it. There are hundreds of shops and restaurants here and it is an easy place to get lost in for a day. The shopping center is a short taxi ride from KLCC or a train ride from Sentral Station.

Differentiating Ringtones with Answer Tones

A ringtone is a tune, which is played when someone calls you on your mobile. You can actually choose the way your phone rings by assigning a unique ringtone to each of your caller.

If you have a phone from AT&T, it is possible to get mainly three types of ringtones, such as monophonic, polyphonic, and Super Tone. But, which songs would work for you, it depends on the phone model you possess.

If you want to see if you can download free ringtones and graphics on your mobile, you must check which download types you can get on your mobile phone. To do so, go to Tones & Graphics section of your phone manufacturer's website. Here, you select the phone make and model of your mobile. The features and capabilities of your phone will be listed under the picture of your mobile phone.

Remember, the number of downloads you can store on your handset depends on the model and make of your handset. For more information, you can visit the website of your phone manufacturer. You can also the check the user manual of your cellphone.

You can listen to a ringtone before you buy it. If you login to a website, which offers ringtones for FREE , click the music icon or a button that enables you to listen to the ringtone. Remember, you need a sound card and turn the speakers on to listen to these songs.

Ringtones are different from Answer tones . You can use Answer Tones in place of standard ringing sound, which is commonly heard by a caller while they wait for you to respond. You can also choose the audio clip or a popular song as your answer tone, or a joke or a quote of your liking.

While ringtones can be downloaded and stored within your handset, answer tones are normally stored in a personal "library". You can access and manage answer tones through Internet. As Answer tones are stored on a server, and not downloaded to your handset, it is possible to to move the Answer tones from one mobile to another if you shift your SIM card. The caller will still listen to these Answer Tones that you have selected for them.

But, while songs are available for free, answer tones may require a monthly subscription fee.

iPhone Agent18 Eco Shield - Slimline Hard Case Protection

I purchased my iPhone in mid-December and have had this case on it almost since I bought it.

The case is a fairly standard slim hard plastic case you can buy for many PDA type phones out there. It comes in two pieces that slide together. At first I was a little wary of how they just 'slide' together with no latch or real 'click' to seal the deal, but I've never had it so much as even start to come apart in my pocket or anywhere else.

The case is hard plastic, but not overly smooth and I find that I can grip the phone far easier with the case on than off. It adds just the right amount of bulk to the iPhone so that it fits snugly in your hand.

Lookswise I would have to give it 10/10. It basically gets rid of all the silver and turns your entire iPhone into a nice black, which makes it look rather unique.

My only real issue with this case is that for people like myself who keep their phone in their pocket most of the time, dust and grit can work its way between the case and the phone. It isn't a huge issue, but if my pockets got a little dirtier for some reason or another I could see it causing some problems.

Pros:

  • Nice, snug fit
  • Sleek look
  • Makes phone easier to grip
  • Protects phone against scratches

Cons:

  • Dust/grit can get between case and phone
  • Little to no shock absorption
  • Slightly difficult to slide off

Pictures of the iPhone Eco Shield in action be found on this blog post. It is a very nice looking, simple case that adds some class to your iPhone.

You can find this at various retailers, including Agent18's website or even cheaper at Amazon.com.

Printers and Ink Cartridges Guzzle, Guzzle, Guzzle

Why are ink cartridges so expensive? Do you print less and try to save your ink? Is there another alternative other than to purchase ink cartridges brand new? If you answered yes to any of these questions, read on.

The last time I had to replace my 4 ink cartridges I felt I was gassing up my car.

Guzzle, Guzzle and Guzzle.

Why are the ink cartridges so expensive?

Do the manufacturers of printers want us to purchase new printers every time we need to refill our ink?

Why is it so expensive to replace ink cartridges from our printer?

I use my printer probably more than most people. I am always printing my books which vary in length from 30 pages to 150. The ink disappears before my very eyes.

I have found an alternative way to purchase ink cartridges, I am using recycled cartridges.

In this world's economy which seems to be becoming crazier and crazier and prices seem to be blasting out of sight, we need to be able to have an alternative.

I was told that laser printers which are more expensive to purchase - the ink lasts longer but the cartridges are expensive.

What do you think about this situation? Are you happy with the price of ink cartridges? Would you like to see the price come down? Let me know what you think.

Thank you for reading my article. I hope you read my other numerous articles.

2 Way Radios - The Best Walkie Talkie

Radio based phones that can send and receive voice signals have become the rage in the world of wireless communication. While they are similar to mobile phones, the condition with such radio phones is that you can either receive or send voice signals at a given time.

The 2 way radios popularly known as walkie-talkie have a push- to- talk or (Press to Transmit) button to activate the transmitter. There radios can be classified into 2 categories: the first type operates on Family Radio Service (FRS) and the second operates on General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS). For personal use, FRS radios are used and they are inexpensive as compared to GMRS. If weather permits, they can transmit signals within a maximum range of 2 miles. GMRS radios, on the other hand are more expensive, but have a higher connectivity range and can transmit signals to a maximum distance of 10 miles.

These radios come with several features. These features include the use of private code to protect the system from being caught by any other radio users, system of reduced eavesdropping and different ways of getting call alerts if a new message is on its way. Some highly efficient radios are endowed with features like barometer, thermometer, digital compass, AM/FM radio and GPS navigation unit.

These radios help the user to stay connected wirelessly. Not only that, they are cost effective too. Another benefit of 2 way radios is that they are very user-friendly. To add to that, their batteries are very durable and can be carried anywhere quite easily. Those parents who cannot afford costly mobile phones for their children can give them the radios for staying connected.

Interesting to note is the fact that initially these radios were being used only by the defense forces and police but now have trickled down to the masses and become hugely popular.
